Steadily more hilarious, steadily more daunting . . .

So. Naturally as soon as I posted the blog of my summer reading, I got a lovely care package of books from my publisher, which contained several books I have been DYING TO READ.
Ahem.

Yes, I added them to the list!

And I've already finished one of them, and it was fabulous: SEAN GRISWOLD'S HEAD by Lindsay Leavitt. Wonderful book!

So if you're keeping score for me, please add:

THE A CIRCUIT by Georgina Bloomberg and Caroline Hapka
BLOOD FEUD by Alyxandra Harvey
FALLEN GRACE by Mary Hooper

And I'm debating two: A WHOLE NOTHER STORY by Dr. Cuthbert Soup and A BOY AND HIS BOT by Daniel H. Wilson. I want to read them, but wonder if I should read them aloud to Boy. . .
And then my sister read THE SWEETNESS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PIE by Alan Bradley, and loved it, and bought a couple of copies and gave me one . . . so let's put that on there, too!

The list! She grows!

But the good news is, I have finished:

OLD MAN'S WAR
SUPERMAN: EARTH ONE
DIVERGENT
BEAUTY QUEENS
WITHER
INSATIABLE
THE LAST LITTLE BLUE ENVELOPE
DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE
BOSSYPANTS
PARANORMALCY
THE PAPER ROSE CLUB
DANDELION WINE
HOW TO SAVE A LIFE
GUARDIANS OF THE HIDDEN SCEPTRE
SHUT OUT

So why does this pile not look any smaller?

Oooh, thanks for the reminder. I need to pick up The Last Little Blue Envelope. I'm cracking up about Bossypants..we've been using that term with much laughter lately. The Paper Rose Club is also on my (much shorter) list.

I like Lindsay Leavitt's 'Princess for Hire' series.

How do you read so fast? You're a writer, mom, and wife. How do you fit it all in?

I just found your blog after reading your bio on Amazon after I put some of your books on my wishlist.

I really love DragonSlippers. I found it by chance while browsing library shelves in a state I didn't even live in, and I'm so glad I did!

I was also excited to see that you play viola! So do I! It's rather unusual to find someone else who does, so to me, that was kind of cool. :)

Once you have devoured The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie, you will have to indulge yourself with the two sequels (so far -- the forth is soon to be published). The next one is The Weed that Strings the Hang Man's Bag, followed by A Red Herring Without Mustard (possibly my favorite book title ever after The Last Camel Died at Noon).

All the shiny new titles coming out, of course. So many good books, so little time. *sigh*

Obviously it doesn't look smaller because the books themselves are growing...
