Verily I have not blogged in ye olde dogge's years. For those of you who actually read this, I'm sorry. People who don't read my blog. . . . Will never know that we're talking about them, so I'll stop.
Anyway, it's just been a crazy couple of weeks.
The Purple Cow is FABULOUS!!!! I loved being there, and if anyone is in the Tooele area, it's a great place to buy children's books. I was swooning, looking at the shelves. They had so many of my favorites, and so many books I've been wanting to read. . . . (drool)
Since then I've also talked at the Orem City Library's Summer Reading Club, who were a pretty wild bunch for library people. Honestly, how cool are kids (and teens) who choose to spend their summer in the library reading? Very cool. First off: look at all the good books. Second: air-conditioning!
I just finished what I hope is the last big edit of my fourth book, now (officially) called PRINCESS OF THE MIDNIGHT BALL! YAY!! I really like that title, and I love the cover. I will be adding it to the website soon, I promise. I also promise to add those booklists I've been talking about, and the knitting patterns. Pinky swear.
In the meantime I've finished William Shatner's autobiography (don't laugh, it was fascinating), and am into Kiki Strike: Inside the Shadow City. VERY good book.
And color me thrilled: I just got an email from P.J. Lynch, the PHENOMENAL artist whose "East o' the Sun, West o' the Moon" picture book helped cement my love of that story and inspired me whenever I was bogged down while writing Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow! Turns out he's talented AND nice!
Must lie down now. . . .

WOO! I can't wait until you put it up! :) I love that title, also.
I love the official title. Couldn't think of anything fabulous to help you myself. So Bravo to whomever had that flash of genius!
I love that title! It's fabulous and I can't wait to read it. I really enjoy your blog too, by the way.
Yay for titling the book. I really like it too. It sounds very exciting.
Welcome back!
I met PJ Lynch at the BYU Books for Young Readers a couple of years ago. He is AMAZING. His dragons are the coolest. -Bee Man of Orn? Love it!
I like your new title. Can't wait to see the cover!
Jessica,
I just saw the cover your new book. It is absolutely gorgeous. If I saw that in a book store, I would buy it in a heartbeat.(Even if it wasn't your name on the cover.) :-) LOVE it!
Cool! I can't wait to read it. I love all of your books so far, and I am sure that "Princess of the Midnight Ball" will be just as amazing!! PS - I think knitting is awsome and I love you for writing about a guy who knitts... :)
