One will be, one should be. . . .
Here's two quickie book recommends, just because I suddenly had something to say about them. In January, "Blood and Chocolate" by Annette Curtis Klause will be released on the world in movie form. I'm excited for this. It's a great book, fun and clever, and the movie looks enticing. So before the movie comes out, read the book. And here's a book that SHOULD be a movie: "How I Live Now" by Meg Rosoff. Also, I just really love this book and wanted to take the opportunity to recommend it for what is probably the hundredth time. I just love that book.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello! So sorry that I haven't blogged in ages. I've been deathly, deathly ill. Grrr. But in the meantime I've read some great books. So while you have a little time off this weekend, try this: His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik. What a phenomenal book! And it's her first. That's right, a debut novel for which no excuses need to be made. It's perfect, wonderful characters, fabulous plot. No holes, no dragging bits, just a rip-roaring good time as British soldiers fight Napoleon . . . on dragonback! It's a combination of fantasy and historical fiction, and it delivers as both. So this Thanksgiving, that's what I'm thankful for: Naomi Novik and her wonderful Temeraire books.
